Did you know that CORE Butte was awarded the California Gold Ribbon School award in 2017? California Distinguished School is an award given by the California State Board of Education to public schools within the state that best represent exemplary and quality educational programs. Approximately 5-10% of California schools are awarded this honor each year following a selection process Between 2015 and 2017, the California Department of Education awarded the California Gold Ribbon School designation for three years while California transitioned to its new assessment and accountability system.

In the next few days you will be receiving your ballot for CORE Butte Board of Directors in the mail. We are utilizing paper ballots so we encourage you to vote! We are so grateful that we have five candidates running for the three parent/guardian seats on the board. Each household will receive two ballots with two return envelopes. Each legal guardian may complete one ballot and either send it back to CORE Butte or drop it off at the ballot boxes at the main administrative office or the Tk8 front desk. If you choose to send your ballot, please be sure your ballot is postmarked or returned to the ballot box no later than April 20th at 4:00. Videos and statements are available on the CORE Butte website and candidates are listed in alphabetical order, so please be sure to review all five of them!

Please complete the annual LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan) Survey!! This survey is an opportunity for families, staff, and constituents to identify the areas of need so that funds are utilized in a way that supports CORE Butte's goals. The survey will close prior to spring break, so please be sure to respond!
