The end of the year is approaching quickly! There are several deadlines we don't want our Seniors to miss out on, please see the list below and complete any missing items:
- Our (CBHS) Butte College Reg2Go Orientation date is Friday, May 19. Students need to sign up to participate via this Google Form. This form is also linked to the Senior Google Classroom, and has been going out in the Weekly Update. Within the form, are instructions for what they need to do to prepare for the event including applying to Butte College and completing an online pre-orientation. At Reg2Go they will meet with a counselor and register for their classes. New students CANNOT register for classes until they've been through the Reg2Go orientation. Meaning, if they miss our date on May 19, they will have to attend a make up orientation over the summer.
- By this Friday, April 21, students need to submit this Google Form to provide their grad paragraph, and info for the Senior slideshow. (Can also be found on the Senior Google Classroom)
- Also due this Friday, April 21 are applications for the Mallory Penzotti Scholarship, Donna Gilbertson Scholarship, Valedictorian and Salutatorian, and performing at Graduation. (Can also be found on the Senior Google Classroom)
- The FAFSA was due March 2 for priority consideration for financial aid. If they missed that deadline, they can and should still complete the FAFSA. For seniors going to Butte, they MUST complete the FAFSA in order to access the Butte Promise Program Scholarship-- free tuition for the first two years for full time students. California is now requiring high schools to track FAFSA completion.
- Caps and Gowns orders were submitted in the fall, and will be distributed the week of graduation. If students have questions about whether they selected to borrow or purchase a cap and gown, and/or need to borrow a gown early for grad pictures, Lisa and Stephanie can help them at the front desk.
